Les merImportant: Kaldi roasters do not include a heat source. You'll need a mini gas stove (gasskjøkken, gassbluss) as a heat source. A stove can be purchased from a local hardware store such as Biltema, Jula, Clas Ohlson The roaster must be operated outdoors or in a location with proper ventilation. The drum is the most important part of the coffee roaster. The drum on the Kaldi roaster is made from 2mm thick stainless steel and perforated with 3mm holes. The interior of the drum has three agitator blades to keep the coffee mixing evenly.
Les mer9Barista was founded by espresso fanatic and jet engineer William Playford. Combining his passions for espresso and engineering, William started work on designing the first of 9Barista’s products, the 9Barista espresso machine, back in 2015. The 9Barista has the unique ability to produce professional, barista-quality espresso on a stove top and is now being enjoyed by coffee aficionados all around the world. How does it work? Well, let’s rewind to the jet engineer bit. To produce genuine, delicious espresso you need three things; high pressures, perfectly controlled temperatures and precise engineering to bring it all together. The same three things that a jet engine requires. So, William used all his jet engineering expertise to develop a completely new and unique solution for creating high pressures and controlled temperatures in a deceptively simple home espresso machine. The result? Consistently delicious espresso from a machine with exceptional reliability and durability. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAf-NjV1dbM Machine Specifications Machine weight: 1,8kg Machine height: 18cm Coffee making specifications Espresso output 40g – a large double shot (approx. 40ml) Brew pressure 8-10 bar (Maximum 12 bar) Brew temperature 90-95ºC Ground coffee weight 15-20g of freshly ground coffee Grinder required a burr grinder designed for espresso is highly recommended Water required 110-120ml Time to make espresso from cold 3 to 6 minutes, depending on stove Time to make a repeat espresso 3 to 6 minutes, depending on stove Recommended extraction time 25 - 30 seconds Maximum time on stove 8 minutes Compatible stove types Gas, electric induction (with adapter plate), electric halogen, electric ring, traditional stove (Aga, Rayburn), camping gas stove Materials The machine is made from die-cast and machined brass, with an electroless nickel plating, giving it both excellent resistance to acids, and good thermal uniformity.
